2. Daya used to run for the Mt. Lebanon girls’ cross-country team.
3. Her sister Rachel would take her Daya along for piano lessons even though she was only three years old at the time. Rachel has gone on to work on two degrees. One from Rhode Island School of Design and the other from Brown University. Grace on the other hand stuck to music and practiced classical piano under Mary Jane Harvey. She also took on the other instruments like the guitar, ukulele, flute and saxophone. Her voice was sharpened by Christina Chirumbolo, who operated a musical conservancy and performing arts school in Canonsburg.

6. She recalled one of her early performance and said “I played at the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and had a small tent. By the end of my performance it was packed.”
