Mari Malek story started in the war torn regions of Sudan, where she experience civil war and was forced to live the life as a refugee in Egypt. She later ended up in New Jersey USA where her true mental transformation began. The racism experienced in Egypt and later in America for being black or dark skinned, was bitter to say the least.
She got an opportunity to become a fashion model in New York at the age of 16 but her problems didn’t stop there. Struggling to fit in, she thought about skin bleaching and materialistic things.
