VH1’s “Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn” just wrapped its sixth season of relationship problems and over-the-top drama. This season featured Mob Wife, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola and her husband, Neil Murphy along with four other couples who found themselves at a cross-road. Every season, couples delve into their deep issues and struggles while host and counselor, Dr. Jenn Man, attempts to give participants guidance and support.

Before binge-watch the season, here are seven things about the show that we think you should know:

1. Season six cast includes Janice Dickinson and Dr. Robert “Rocky” Gerner, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola and Neil Murphy, Joe Budden and Kaylin Garcia, Carmin Carrera and Adrian Torres, Scott Stapp and Jaclyn Stapp.

2. Dr. Jenn Mann is based out of Beverly Hills and has a private practice specializing in marriage, family and child therapy. Her practice has been open for more than twenty years. Clients seek her help for issues including relationship issues, eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, sexual abuse and anxiety.

3. Dr. Jenn has appeared on many TV shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, The Early Show and CNN. She is also an author and award-willing columnist. Her books include 12 Ways to Give Your Child a Head Start in the First 3 Years and The A to Z Guide to Raising Happy Confident Kids and Rockin’ Babies.

4. Couples on the show are typically reality TV stars who are currently out of the spotlight. Past stars include Linda Hogan, DMX, Jon Gosselin, Jenna Jameson as well as Dough Hutchison and his very young wife, Courtney Stodden.

5. Dr. Jenn isn’t the only professional on the show. Couples also get help from Dr. Mike Dow, the show’s Head Counselor. Dow is a psychotherapist, author and relationship expert. He appears regularly on The Dr. Oz Show, Anderson Cooper 360, and The Rachel Ray Show. This season will also feature Dr. Christian Conte, former host of “Coaching Bad” on SPIKE TV and anger management specialist.

6. All of the couples seeking counseling on “Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn” live in the same house while filming the season together. While living at the treatment center, they undergo three weeks of intensive therapy- group, couples, individual, family, and therapeutic exercises.

7. If you can’t get enough of Dr. Jenn, VH1 has developed a spin-off called “Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn” featuring families of “stars” seeking to explore the difficult ties that bind families. All participants live in the same house while going through therapy just as in “Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn” and go through intense exercises and counseling.

Bottom-line? If you’re looking for your next guilty pleasure, you should absolutely tune in for the non-stop drama on “Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn.” However, if you’re looking for advice and tips that you could apply to your own relationships, you may want to look elsewhere. Dr. Jenn Mann is definitely a legitimate counselor helping real people in the real world with real-life problems, but this show is purely for entertainment while also serving as a reminder that money and fame truly do not and cannot buy you happiness – or common sense.

If the creator of “Parks and Recreation” and “The Office” can maintain his track record, then this fall’s “The Good Place” is sure to please. It is set to star comedic experts Kristen Bell and Ted Danson and is based on a very simple principle: a woman dies and goes to the “good place,” when it is clear that she has led a life in which she should have never ended up there.

This is where the story begins…and according to Variety: “Eleanor learns that a clerical mistake has been made, and she’s not supposed to be in the good place. She can’t let this be known, given the alternative. So she has to hide in plain sight — and somehow try to be a better person.”

Executives at NBC did not even want to test the series with a pilot, opting to buy the story and produce it for fall production. This, creator Mike Schur says, will allow the show to “unfold far more deliberately. There’s a lot more room to be funny, hopefully, and tell a more interesting story.”

In an unusual programming strategy, the show is going to feature only 13 episodes and use a “short run”. This has left industry experts excited by the prospect of tighter storytelling, and the casting is another huge element of the buzz.

Bell is a contemporary star with a huge fan following for her quirky humor and natural skills as a comedian. Danson is coming off a long run in drama and dark comedy, returning to straightforward humor many years after finishing up on “Cheers”. The show is touted as traditional comedy, and has been described by creators as energetic and fun.

So, how will the writers create a following for a show about a woman who wakes up dead, and through a clerical error ends up in the good place rather than her actual, authentic destination? The creators have cited the use of simple humor and unusual settings. Creating a “folksy version of heaven, a town filled with stores called ‘Everything Fits’ and ‘Warm Blankets’ and ‘Infinite Light’ and ‘All the Books.'” Of course, there is also the fact that in “heaven” everything is meant to provide you with your ultimate level of happiness.

Because of this, heavenly homes are decorated to suit our favorite styles. In the case of Bell’s Eleanor, the clerical error spills over into this area and her home is jarringly decorated with a startling number of clowns. She is also in a place without swearing, alcohol, and an overabundance of frozen yogurt.

What else do we know? Until now, the creators of the show have been tight-lipped about the plot, promising only one of the most unique half-hours of programming in a long while, and with quality performers headlining, it is likely to be a “good place” to find yourself on Thursday evenings. It will debut on Monday, September 19 and then move to a Thursday evening slot at 8:30 PM.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten whole years since the first episode of Real Housewives of Orange County debuted. Since then, we’ve seen seemingly countless spinoffs, including Real Housewives of New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, New York, and even DC. Now, with a new trailer out for season 11 of Real Housewives of Orange County, we’re looking forward to even more craziness.

We’ll Welcome Back the Original Cast!

First, old school fans of the show will definitely appreciate that season 11 will bring back all their favorites. The whole original cast is back, including Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Vicki Gunvalson, Meghan King Edmonds, and Shannon Beador. That’s not all, though. You can look forward to getting to know Kelly Dodd, Meghan’s raunchy BFF!

Starting Where We Left Off Last Season

Fans will be happy to know that they won’t be missing a bit of the drama between Vicki and the other women. You’ll get to know all about her part in her ex’s cancer scandal, and there’s definitely going to be some drama with her and the other girls over it.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Real Housewives of Orange County if there weren’t some surprises. For example, from the sneak peek we got at the trailer, it looks like things might not be over between Vicki and her ex. At one point, she calls him and says, “Brooks. This is Vicki. I believed you and I loved you!” Maybe she’s just still angry, or maybe their story isn’t over yet.

Hashing Out Old Problems

It looks like Shannon’s husband David isn’t off the hook yet for the affair he had last season, either. At a barbecue, Shannon says, “You think that I pushed you to have an affair!?” We might learn even more about what happened there, and who knows what’s in the future for Shannon and David? Could we be looking at another RHOC divorce?

Trouble in Paradise?

Speaking of marital strife, we always thought that Heather and her husband Terry (known for his plastic surgery work on Botched) were the perfect couple. That might not be the case, though. Tensions are high between the two when Heather snaps at Terry, and there might be more drama to come!

The Infamous Dune Buggy Accident

Finally, if you’re a fan of Real Housewives of Orange County, you’ve probably already heard about the dune buggy accident that Tamra and Vicki were involved in. They claim that they weren’t drinking, and we’ve heard that they’re okay, but we’ll have to tune into the show to see what really happened that day.

Before the hit Lifetime show “Dance Moms”, Melissa Gisoni wasn’t a household name. All of that changed in 2011 when she burst onto the reality TV scene, declaring that her daughter, Maddie Ziegler, was the best dancer at the Abby Lee Dance Company – the Pittsburgh, PA studio where both her daughters dance competitively. Gisoni may have been right – Maddie quickly became the leader of the pack, some say largely due to studio owner Abby Miller reportedly playing favorites and promoting Maddie’s progress more than the other girls by giving her more dances and more praise.

Whatever the reason for the young dancer’s success, succeed she has – the 13-year-old has had roles in popular singer Sia’s music videos, and has now landed a movie role as well. In an even bigger coup, Maddie is slated to become the youngest judge to date on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation”.

Time for Goodbye

After six seasons on “Dance Moms”, Melissa Gisoni and her daughters Maddie and Mackenzie are leaving the show, presumably to pursue the other career opportunities that have arisen for the star dancer. As the family takes their leave from the controversial yet mesmerizing show, here are 5 fast facts you need to know about Melissa Gisoni:

1. Despite a rocky start at the beginning of the season 6 reunion show, with Abby Miller criticizing Melissa for not telling her about the family’s departure sooner (Melissa insisted she followed appropriate channels in leaving the show) by the end of the show everything was hugs, love, and tears.

2. Daughter Maddie’s career may have saved Melissa from financial ruin. Back in 2009, when Melissa was still married to the girls’ father Kurt Ziegler, the couple filed for bankruptcy due to nearly a million in mortgage debt, $200k+ in unsecured debt, and thousands in tax liability. Just after the bankruptcy case was settled, Melissa and the girls landed the lucrative “Dance Moms” job.

3. In 2015, the Gisonis bought a million-dollar custom-built home measuring a generous 7000 square feet. Despite the posh price, the abode doesn’t have a swimming pool – but it does have a dance studio. The family’s old, more modest digs sold in an unbelievable six hours, for $279,000.

4. The dance mom’s husband, Greg, is a VP with Westinghouse Electric Company.

5. Melissa (along with some of her fellow dance moms) had her own 15 minutes of performance stardom when she appeared in singer Todrick Hall’s video “Freaks Like Me”. Hall was an American Idol semi-finalist and has gone on to an active singing career.

Over the years there have been tears, conflicts, and drama galore on the popular show. There is speculation that without Maddie, Dance Moms won’t be the same, and may not even continue – so far, however, there are no rumblings of cancellation.
