Kacy Hill attended Arizona School of the Arts. Then, she was very good at playing saxophone, oboe, and singing in the choir, but those never made her passionate about music. At 16, she got an internship with a photographer who covered several wedding events. Hill’s burning desire for modeling started at this time. Later on, she made her way to the front of the camera from assisting in handling cameras.

With intentions to further her education still alive, Hill deemed it fit to take some time off and left from Los Angeles. At LA, she scaled up her modeling career and got signed to M Model Management in West Hollywood and suddenly emerged the face of American Apparel. Her modeling career soared high as she joined Kanye West’s Yeezus tour. The Yeezus show was a keystone to her success – she was among the faceless women that danced and held Kanye West up to the skies during the Yeezus show.

In 2014, Hill dropped her debut nonalbum single titled “Experience,” during the time the tour – Yeezus kicked off. She never felt passionate about it but had to take it up. Kanye West signed Hill to G.O.O.D music in Atlantic City after his show – this was coming after West went through a copy of her nonalbum single.

Talking about fame, Hill was fast rising quickly, taking good spots in some charts and list that went viral. Digital Spy addressed her single as a track worth hearing.

Kacy hills own to her credits several tracks such as “Foreign Fields” which was released in 2015 and Bloo, also released in 2015. Recently, Kacy hills dropped her first album titled “Like a woman” under West’s record label. G.O.O.D music. The album contains several tracks that are sure to keep you meditating and lost in euphoria. Some of the tracks are Hard to Love, Say You’re Wrong, Clarity, Keep Me Sane, a song she released in 2016 titled Lion and some other mind-blowing tracks.

The recent album “Like a Woman,” gives many the impressions that she’s the next big thing to happen to pop music. The video was lit although some detest the sexuality that characterizes the video. In the video, she oiled up herself, dressed in lingerie and making moves. The lyrics were so dear to heart and loving, but you can’t dance to any of the tracks in Hill’s new album. One of her tracks, Clarity ironically describes the dense world where some look down on pop.

While Hill claims that she just released her album in a bid to explore her sexuality, it may be more beneficial to the world and the fans listening if she could look into the sound more. However, Hill is fast rising, considering when she came into the game. Perhaps, she might be the next most celebrated pop star.

DeQn professes her love for music, pointing out that she wants to create good music that lasts, and she has never relented in this pursuit. Her debut album was titled ‘ Zeitgeist’ which reflects her unique style of music. Zeitgeist was produced by Kelvin Wooten who was nominated for the Grammy awards. And the songs in the album include Bloody Monster, Magenta, and Flame. In fact, the album featured perfect blends of jazz, pop, gospel, funk, hip hop, R&B as well rock.

It was uncovered that the track Bloody Monster off her first album was a melodious one she penned down after being a victim of racism. Her roommate displayed the racism act against her on several occasions, and this inspired her to write the song.
Deqn’s music career – How it all started.

Magenta is one of the outstanding tracks in DeQn’sfirst album. She said that breaking down her music reveals many genres of mixes. Speaking on what actually nurtured her melodious voice and her love for music, DeQn attributed that to her parents, giving many accolades to her mother who would always take her to church and urged her to sing. Likewise, her father taught her piano lessons and the basics of vocals – these gave her a deep insight of music.

It dawned on her that she wants to be an artist after her father performed an inspiring gospel song ‘Precious Lord.’ Despite the discouragement from peers that tried to pull her visions down, DeQn was bent on achieving something that makes her proud even when she looks back at it in the next 20 years.

Undoubtedly, music can make anyone grow versatile; the Los Angeles native blended her style with the Southern thingy. She schooled at Oakwood University in Huntsville. There she got entangled with The Aeolians; a choral ensemble that has won the Grammy as well took the first place on NBC’s program – The Sing-Off, season 2.

DeQn’s love for Huntsville doesn’t stem from her alma-matter alone; she just loves Huntsville as her feels better making music there. Despite where she stays, her songs remain what listeners across the world would enjoy.

In an interview, DeQn revealed that she would like collaboration with 3000 because he’s honest and real to his art. She added that his energy is felt in his music. DeQn finally stated that she’s inspired by all things in everyday life, but she likes it most when she sits at a bus stop watching people and their behaviors.

In an interview with the musical director, Zachary Stevenson, he detailed how the whole thing came about. Stevenson pointed out that the jam session wasn’t planned, but turned out to be a great deal. Perkins walked into the studio with his brothers to record some new versions to some already known blues, the owner of Sun Recording studio; Sam Philips called on his new protégé, Jerry Lee Lewis to jump on the keys. At the same time, Elvis Presley, a former artist with Sun Records walked in to pay a casual visit; he listened to Perkins session after chatting with his Ex-boss and headed for the studio. After a short while, the jam began, and Johnny Cash entered. Wham! The full hit kicked off.

The impromptu session featured these four artists doing gospel songs which they know how to do best. In fact, this session remains one of the best-unexpected jams that turned out to be a hit. The million dollar quartet is a session to behold.

Zachary Stevenson pointed out in an interview that the jam session was an unexpected one. The director expressed his view of the whole thing. “The show took place at Memphis Tennesse at Sun studios, and it was inspired by real events, December 4th, 1956 where Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley were all in the studio at the same time. It only happened once in history, although they all recorded individually. It was Impromptu, unexpected, talking about music, singing gospel songs they were all familiar with, harmonizing jam together and … it was a pretty special moment in eh…rock and roll history.”

Speaking of the talented artists and how they came up with something nice, Stevenson said “We really hope to capture an authentic portrayal of the music. This was an era where rock and roll were being established; it was easy to forget that because we weren’t very familiar with a lot of these songs. These songs were just coming into being and being born, fusing the rhythm and blues in the country, the western swings and all these style and kinds of creating all these rock…and roll. Haha! It wasn’t familiar before as at that time. I mean this is only 1956, and this is really the beginning and birth of something special.”

He further said this “I charge people to stay and see it; it’s gonna be bass or something I think. I mean it’s a million dollar. And with inflation, it’s like a billion dollar quartet. So, hahaha, it’s gonna be a great experience for the aliens, for the players, and it’s just gonna be a flip back side of energy, and no doubt!

Bill Millerd directed the million dollar quartet, and the musical director, Zachary Stevenson also did a great job. Other names in the production list include Valerie Easton, Barbara Clayden, Caryn Fehr, Gerald King, Ted Roberts and others.
