She explains that her path to success began during a weekend in which she was under the weather and just binge-watching the MTV show The Hills. She fell in love with the fashion and makeup of the program’s female stars and just used Google and YouTube to scout out some “Hills Makeup Tutorials”.

This led her to early YouTube star Sandy Gold, whose tutorials on makeup led Nikkie to even more discoveries, and within just a few months’ time, she decided she would begin making her own tutorials as well.
